At Ladybird Day Nursery we know that choosing a Nursery for your child is a huge decision.  We also know that this may be a completely new experience for you and as such some of the terminology such as ‘The EYFS’ and ‘Early Years Funding’ may be unfamiliar to you. We have therefore created a collection of Guides for Parents, which explain the curriculum and what we do at Nursery in more detail. We have also provided some information on other topics which we hope you will find useful as your child develops and grows.

Free childcare and education for 3 to 4-year-olds

All 3 to 4-year-olds in England receive 570 hours of free early education or childcare per year. We stretch the termly entitlement over 51 weeks of the year.

30-hours free childcare and education

Children of parents meeting certain criteria will be eligible for the extended entitlement which provides an additional 570 hours of free childcare per year. This will be stretched over the full year in the same way as the 15 hours. Check your child’s eligibility for the 30 hours.

We offer a small number of 15 hours and 30 hours fully funded places – please contact the Nursery Manager for more information. Please note the fully funded places offered are on Mondays and Fridays.
