Information for parents
Covid Updates and Information
We are pleased to report that the majority of our children have now returned to Nursery following the relaxation of social distancing measures by Government. We recognise that this is a continues to be a worrying and confusing time for parents of young children and that some of the information in the media may add to your concerns.
The Nursery is satisfied, having completed our own comprehensive risk assessment, that it is as safe as possible for our children to return and for our Nursery to remain open, but we are alert to the ongoing risks.
We have reached this conclusion after careful examination of the data at a local level, a detailed reopening plan based on advice from Public Health England (PHE) and an evaluation of the risk to our staff, based on their health and household risk factors.
The UK Chief Medical Officers have issued a statement on education and childcare reopening which states that there is a very low rate of severe disease in children from coronavirus (COVID-19).
However, we thought it would be helpful to provide you with additional information on the more localised picture.

At Ladybird Day Nursery we know that choosing a Nursery for your child is a huge decision. We also know that this may be a completely new experience for you and as such some of the terminology such as ‘The EYFS’ and ‘Early Years Funding’ may be unfamiliar to you. We have therefore created a collection of Guides for Parents, which explain the curriculum and what we do at Nursery in more detail. We have also provided some information on other topics which we hope you will find useful as your child develops and grows.
Below you will find links to a selection of our guides.
